MECHANICS AND ERGONOMICS
Two adjustments, one control
Flexya introduces an innovative, compact single-lever release mechanism that allows both tilt and telescopic adjustments to be controlled through a single lever, eliminating the need for separate controls.
Rotating the ergonomic aluminium lever counterclockwise enables tilt adjustment, while clockwise rotation activates telescopic adjustment. When released, the lever automatically returns to its neutral position, ensuring mechanical locking.
A gas spring assists telescopic movement, making adjustments smooth, controlled and precise, while reducing operator effort.
The system provides quick and intuitive adjustments, improved ergonomics and comfort, enhanced safety and a simpler design compared to systems with separate controls. The aluminium lever also contributes to robustness, perceived quality and long-term durability.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Modularity
The structure is designed to offer a high degree of modularity on both the driver and windscreen sides, enabling multiple configurations to be developed from a single platform. Interchangeable covers and inserts accommodate, depending on the application, dashboards, displays up to 10 inches, instrument clusters, keypads, switches, KeyCAN modules, lighting systems, RAM mounts and other electronic devices.
The platform adapts to both basic and premium configurations, offering extensive customisation options. For OEM manufacturers, it simplifies variant management and assembly, reduces production complexity, development times and costs, and facilitates industrialisation without compromising functionality or the quality of the operator experience.
Integration
Flexya is part of AMA’s cab ecosystem, where mechanical, electronic and human-machine interface expertise come together in a coordinated design approach. Collaboration between the Business Units enables AMA to support OEM manufacturers from engineering and prototyping through to production.
The steering column can be integrated with R100TFT, 10VIEW, Nimbus and KeyCAN, enabling the development of cohesive, configurable and scalable operator stations, with a single point of contact for the development of integrated solutions.
