MECHANICAL COMPONENTS
HUB with sensor, reinforced leg and disc
Design evolution for soil working.
Reinforced structure, simplified assembly and high performance to adapt to different soil conditions, with an integrated sensor to monitor usage and provide insights into component wear.
DESIGN INNOVATION
Reinforced structure, without welds.
The new AMA system combines a latest-generation hub with sensor, reinforced leg and disc in an integrated solution, designed for equipment used in soil working and seedbed preparation.
The distinctive feature is the specific design of the reinforced leg, made from heat-treated material, in combination with the disc. The new design eliminates the welded parts typical of traditional solutions, preventing the formation of heat-affected zones (HAZ), which can be potential crack initiation points in the material.
This solution provides a structure designed to withstand the stresses of agricultural operations, offering greater structural reliability and reducing the issues associated with welded joints.
The system is also designed to simplify assembly, disassembly and maintenance operations, reducing intervention times and associated labour costs. A tangible advantage for agricultural equipment manufacturers and end users.
Completing the system, the next-generation HUB with integrated sensor enables equipment usage monitoring, providing the operator with information to assess the remaining service life of the HUB and disc wear during field operations.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Performance
The system is developed for high-speed soil working applications, up to 22–24 km/h, thanks to the combination of a reinforced leg, a disc made from high-quality material and a latest-generation hub. The solution offers operational flexibility across different soil types, in both dry and partially moist conditions, contributing to the efficiency of soil loosening and seedbed preparation operations.
Advanced Monitoring
The sensor integrated into the HUB detects rotational speed and functions as an odometer, enabling the component’s service life to be estimated based on its usage. The signal can be transmitted to the tractor’s dashboard, providing the operator with objective data to monitor the equipment’s usage status.
Simplified Maintenance
The support configuration is designed to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the hub and disc assembly, significantly reducing handling and intervention times compared to traditional solutions. Greater accessibility and ease of operation help reduce labour costs, simplify maintenance and improve efficiency in equipment management.
