New plastic guard: greater strength and flexibility
Cardan Pro introduces a new plastic guard with a shaped protective tube, designed to provide a more robust structure, more stable operation, and greater ease of use.
The new geometry of the plastic tube features increased dimensions compared to the previous model and a variable cross-section. This special design enhances structural strength and ensures correct component positioning, improving the overall mechanical performance of the system.
Thanks to this technical configuration:
- reciprocal rotation between the two plastic tubes is prevented
- the correct phasing between the half-guards is maintained
- it is possible to use a single safety chain (from two to one), simplifying operation and improving operational safety
Easy Lock system: guard can be removed in a few seconds
The Easy Lock system sets and ensures a new standard of practicality in assembly and maintenance operations, delivering a more functional user experience. It enables quick installation and removal of the guard directly on the transmission’s metal tubes, in just a few seconds.
Opening is performed using common tools (such as a wrench, pen, or screwdriver) and follows a simple and intuitive procedure. This solution simplifies driveline modification and shortening operations quickly, even for the end user.
The system is designed in compliance with CE requirements and incorporates a direct access point for lubrication.
Always-accessible lubrication of the ring
The ring’s lubrication point is integrated into the Easy Lock system and is always easily accessible, with no need for complex guard disassembly. This enables quick lubrication and simpler, more effective maintenance, helping preserve the functionality, durability, and efficiency of the components over time.
Quick-release boot: easier even in the most difficult spaces
The new boot fastening system has been designed to allow temporary removal and quick reinstallation, making operations simpler, faster, and more efficient, and facilitating PTO shaft assembly even in the presence of limited space or nearby components such as PTO protective caps.
Once the driveline is installed, the boot can be reattached in just a few seconds.
The system also enables quick interchangeability between long and short boots, offering greater flexibility during assembly and product adaptation, as well as increased customization.
Integrated self-lubricating system for telescopic tubes
For the most demanding applications, Cardan Pro goes beyond conventional limits with an integrated solution: always-accessible external lubrication and continuous self-lubrication during operation.
External lubrication, no disassembly required
The system allows lubrication of the gap between the inner and outer tubes without disassembling the PTO shaft.
The greasing point is external and always accessible, even with the PTO shaft installed on the machine, making it easier to maintain smooth and consistent sliding over time, while reducing friction and axial forces toward the PTO.
Continuous self-lubrication during operation
Inside the male metal tube, a dedicated grease chamber is integrated, defined by an internal plastic tube, which distributes the lubricant continuously. During rotation, the grease is evenly redistributed, ensuring a continuous self-lubrication effect and high operating autonomy.
The system maintains its functionality even when the PTO shaft is shortened, adapting to modifications without losing effectiveness.
